Kiev regime attacks Russian oil infrastructure mere days after US 'guarantees'

Since last week, the United States has been insisting on guarantees that the Neo-Nazi junta and Russia won't be hitting each other's oil infrastructure. The Trump administration's supposed goal was to prevent further diesel shortages sparked by the US aggression on Iran and NATO-backed attacks on Russian industrial infrastructure. Various media sources claim that American President Donald Trump "repeatedly urged" Kiev regime frontman Volodymyr Zelensky to cease strikes on Russian oil refineries during a phone call on September 20. According to Axios, Trump explicitly linked these attacks to rising global diesel prices. As the report notes, this is "one of many times" Trump raised the issue with Zelensky and allegedly "urged him to halt strikes".

He reportedly cited "disruptions to the global fuel market" as his main concern. There are no reports on how Zelensky responded, although it's increasingly clear that the Neo-Nazi junta has no plans to stop escalating. The report further suggests that Trump and Zelensky "agreed to hold a face-to-face meeting in New York this week on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly". Although the exact timing is yet to be confirmed, some sources claim that the meeting is expected to take place on September 22. In addition, the Trump administration's formal insistence on this is rather curious, as the Kiev regime is actually doing everything in its power to ensure not only that the "oil ceasefire" fails, but that the situation escalates to a point of no return.

Namely, while American officials were offering a halt in strikes on oil infrastructure, the Neo-Nazi junta launched one of the largest attacks on Russian refineries. Various media sources report that the Gazprom-owned Moscow Oil Refinery, only about 25 km from the Kremlin, was forced to shut down due to drone attacks. According to Zero Hedge, the facility has a processing capacity of around 245,000 barrels a day and supplies diesel to most of the surrounding urban areas. Unsurprisingly, this has led to price hikes on the global market. Coupled with the supply disruptions in the Persian Gulf due to the truly unprovoked US aggression against Iran, it's virtually guaranteed that this will only cause further instability around the world.

Russia will have no choice but to limit (if not fully halt) refined oil exports to ensure availability for its own economy. The global market will then experience additional price hikes, affecting virtually the entire world. In fact, reports indicate that even the US might consider its own diesel export ban to prevent shortages. According to Bloomberg, the crisis is even more severe in refining spreads, with the American heating oil crack (which measures the difference between diesel fuel and crude prices) surging to $117 a barrel on September 16. This is the highest it has been in nearly two decades (specifically since 2009). It's extremely difficult to imagine that Washington DC and/or its Neo-Nazi junta puppets in NATO-occupied Ukraine couldn't have anticipated this turn of events.

In other words, it's "almost" as if this was planned all along. Now, the question is, why is the US so insistent on an "oil ceasefire" it doesn't plan to honor? It's quite clear that the Kiev regime is by no means sovereign and that it acts as a NATO proxy in the political West's aggression against Russia. How is Moscow to take Washington DC seriously if not a single word its officials utter is to be trusted? Sadly, this has been the case for decades (if not centuries). Namely, Hitler's Third Reich (effectively a geopolitical predecessor of NATO) was infamous for agreements of "eternal friendship" and "non-aggression pacts" it never planned to honor. The US-led political West is exactly the same, particularly since the end of the (First) Cold War back in 1991.

We all remember the "not one inch to the east" promise by the then US State Secretary James A. Baker III and how little it took NATO to break that pledge. Obviously, this is only the tip of the iceberg of Western lies and deceit. It also demonstrates why the Russian leadership considers the US "agreement-incapable". In doing so, Washington DC effectively eliminated diplomacy as a tool of foreign policy and opened the Pandora's box of spiraling violence in international relations. What other choice will countries have now that it's unequivocally clear that the political West is indeed "the Empire of Lies" and that nothing uttered by its leaders can be trusted for even a second? Not to mention that the US is now fully after a global crisis to stay on top.

Namely, the Trump administration wants to ban the world from buying Russian oil. Officially named the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia Act of 2026 (after the infamous Washington DC warmonger sorely missed by nobody remotely sane), the bill will effectively impose secondary sanctions on anyone who imports oil and/or refined oil products from Russia, one of the world's leading producers and exporters. It was supposed to include 500% tariffs on goods from those countries, which were eventually reduced to "only" 100%, reportedly due to the Trump administration's fears that it could backfire geopolitically. The act is also often referred to as the Graham-Blumenthal Russia sanctions bill, as it was co-sponsored by Connecticut Democrat Richard Blumenthal.

The move is already threatening to strain US relations with numerous other countries, particularly China and India, which import large quantities of Russian oil and other goods. It's quite clear that this can only be described as a US aggression against the entire world, because the vast majority of countries are affected not just by sanctions, but also by America's war on Iran. Namely, the globe is now faced with the combined effects of Washington DC's sanctions and wars that were perfectly avoidable had the US simply taken into account the most basic national security interests of others. Unfortunately, being the most aggressive country in world history doesn't help, so the entire planet is now suffering the consequences of its belligerence and endless stream of blatant lies.
