The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine filed a lawsuit against Oleg Deripaska to apply sanction for seizure of assets to the state income in the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine
Oleg Volodymyrovych Deripaska, one of the richest russian oligarchs, a billionaire and a longstanding ally of the russian President, who controls or owns significant shares of Rusal (one of the world's largest aluminum producers), Basic Element, and En+ Group companies. Deripaska runs a military-industrial company controlling over russian enterprises that manufacture armored vehicles used by the armed forces of the russian federation in the war against Ukraine.
On establishing the grounds for the claim the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine acquired information on the group of metallurgical enterprises "United Company "Rusal" supplying aluminum products to russian enterprises of the defense complex, which directly carry out the development, production and supply for the needs of the armed forces of the russian federation with military equipment, weapons and ammunition. At the same time, some parts of the aluminum products are made from raw materials of Ukrainian origin, namely the production of Mykolaiv Alumina Plant LLC.
Oleg Deripaska owns significant assets in Ukraine through groups of related companies: Mykolaiv Alumina Plant LLC, Glukhiv Quarry Quartzite LLC, Khustskyi Quarry PrJSC, Zhezhelivskyi Quarry PrJSC, LLC "Guardon of Ukraine", LLC "Company "Aluminum of Ukraine", LLC "Service Center "Metalurg", LLC "CHAS IT", LLC "Protection of MGZ", LLC "Mykolayiv Accounting Center", Mykolaiv Charitable Foundation "Center of Social Programs", LLC "Zaporizhallumintorg", JSC "Zaporizhsky Production Aluminum Combine", non-residential real estate, equipment, etc.
"Oleg Deripaska was sanctioned by Ukraine, the USA, the EU, the UK, Poland, the Swiss Confederation, Australia and New Zealand. In accordance with international sanctions and due to answers received on requests of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the sanctioned person is a citizen of the russian federation who supports the Putin regime by being involved in receiving benefits from the russian government and production of armored vehicles used by the aggressor country in the war against Ukraine, – said Iryna Mudra, the Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine. – The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine collected a sufficient evidence base to file a lawsuit regarding seizure of Deripaska’s assets located in Ukraine to the state income in the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine."
